Friday night was such a success!  Thank you to all those folks that came out and celebrated our wonderful parks and neighborhood.  All ages and abilities came to enjoy the fun.  Food by Pizza Nizza and Hatcreek burgers, ice cream by Amy’s ice cream, music, face and hair painters, massages by Massage Harmony, bouncy houses and more.  Thank you to our wonderful sponsors and volunteers – especially Catherine and Tiffany!!  All of this fun was due to your support and hard work!

Online registration is closed but you can still register! Late Registration & Packet Pickup is at City Hall (403 Nixon) this Wednesday, April 13, 3pm – 5pm and Thursday, April 14, 5pm – 7pm. Thanks again to our Marathon Sponsors ($500) Agent Janet Crocker at Farm Bureau and The Hospital at Westlake Medical Center!  Runner spots are limited to 400.

Time to register for the race to make sure you get your t-shirt size!! And don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets (check out the raffle page – AWESOME STUFF!!)  Quick info you need to know about the race – you don’t have to run to have fun, strollers welcome, great food, live music, TONS of awards to be given out to racers, bouncy houses, obstacle course, and much more!!

Details on raffle tickets: Raffle tickets will be sold through local RWC members or on the race registration site for $5 each or 5 for $20.  Also available for sale at the baseball fields the 2 weeks leading up to the race and on packet pick up days.  Prizes will be awarded on Friday, April 15.  You do not need to be present to win.

Fun For All!!!

The Rollingwood Women’s Club wants to make sure EVERYONE comes out to play on the 15th!  You say you don’t run, then walk!  You don’t want to do the race?  No problem!! Come out to eat, play and enjoy all your neighbors on a wonderful spring night.  Food and treats will take cash and the fun is for free!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU OUT THERE!

There will be fun to be had by all so even if you don’t feel like running, we hope that you will come to celebrate this wonderful community and all it has to offer! All funds raised from the Life is Good in the Wood 5K run/walk go directly to support the development of Rollingwood’s parks and public areas. Our goal is to emphasize fun, fitness, family and friends. Thank YOU for your help in making this event a success. It is your support of this community that allows Rollingwood to remain the unique and wonderful neighborhood that it is. Life Really IS Good in the Wood!

It is that time again – where planning, begging, organizing and stressing all combine to make a fun Friday night filled with exercise, activities, food and (say it again) FUN!  The date has been set – APRIL 15, 2011.  Check back for details – they are coming soon!

The rain waited and the crowd turned out….a great time was had by all.  Great hills and flats greeted runners, inflatable jumpies greeted the kids and great raffle prizes were won.  The music after the run kept the party going through sunset.  Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, volunteers and especially our Chairs of the event – Karen and Ellen!!
